Recent technology took center stage at the Oct. 9 meeting of the local Delta Kappa Gamma Society International chapter at College Walk, when Yvonne Barnwell of Brevard Middle School explained the three dimensional printer. She also brought samples of objects the students had made.
Other items of business were plans to award at least two grants to future educators, efforts to support the local supply closet, a memorial for Joann Bryson, and viewing of the new website for Gamma Upsilon.
Hostesses for the evening were Betty Padrick, Molly Tartt, and Davelyn Vinson.
President Dian Brewton welcomed guests Nancy Carson, Linda Smith Gregg, Barbara Grimm, Lisa Malaquin-Prey, Betty Scruggs, and Amy Winston.
The next meeting will be Dec. 4 and will feature music by the Pisgah Forest Elementary School Chorus.
