ABS is less brittle and more ductile. It is best used for making durable parts that need to twist and higher temperatures. It can also be post-processed with acetone to provide a glossy finish. When 3D printing with ABS filament, a heated printing surface is recommended, as ABS plastic will contract when cooled leading to warped parts.

  1. Right up there with the best of the lower cost ABS filament I’ve tested Nice very dark black when compared to several other ABS filaments I’ve been testing. Good first layer adhesion when printing onto Elmer’s X-Treme glue stick on glass. I printed using 230C extrusion onto a 110C heated build plate, which was the low end of what the manufacturer recommended for extrusion and 10C above the highest they recommended for the build plate. This wasn’t an optimal that I determined via experimentation. It’s the generic ABS profile that I use, so I can compare various…

  2. I purchased gray first and liked it so much that I purchased the black. I think this is pretty great. I haven’t had any issues with it. I have a Tronxy p802 and I will admit I am new to this type of filament, but I have had a da vinci XYZ printer, but it had cartidges. Anyways, since I purchased my Tronxy I have been testing many different brands of filament. I feel like I can trust this one. It’s been printing very smoothly. No jams or anything and it seems to look really nice when it is…
