The XYZPrinting ABS filament is a 600g cartridge of 1.75-mm diameter red filament for use with the XYZPrinting daVinci 1.0 3D printer (sold separately). Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) is a strong thermoplastic that can be surface treated with sandpaper or acetone after printing. It is commonly used with a heated bed set to around 80 degrees C (176 degrees F) to prevent warping during the printing process and facilitate removal. The print temperature ranges from 215 to 250 degrees C (419 to 482 degrees F).

  1. Does NOT work I purchased this for the new printer. The cartridge that came with the printer works – when I put this one in and go through the loading mechanism – the printer returns the message “No cassette. Please reinstall.” I can reinstall the one that came in the printer and that works. That tells me its this cartridge rather than the printer.I attempted to contact XYZ Printing – I got an acknowledgement that they received my email complaint – but have remained silent now for days and do…

  2. I have issues with these cartridges toward the end These cartridges work well, but I have an issue with how much plastic they leave behind on the roll itself when the printer says you’re empty. The plastic melts, forms, and produces with excellent results, however the Davinci line of printers tell you how much is left on the roll, and the software will notify you when it’s time to change rolls (or cartridges) As the readout on my Davnici II printer says, (1m remaining)Well, with (1M remaining) I take out the cartridge, put in my…

I recommend using a filament resetter and purchasing other filament online. That way, you can also set the extruder temperature to 230 degrees. Recently, after upgrading to firmware version J, it seems like they lowered the printing temp to 200-205 degrees. This absolutely RUINED one of my long prints – literally none of the layers…
